Hey guys;

I have some free time over Christmas and I've decided I'd like to learn something about Cisco networking gear. Our ADSL modem is flaky so I wouldn't half mind replacing it with something better; looking at some cheap eBay options the 1721+adsl WIC stands out - is there anything wrong with this model for a home/office setup? Our ADSL speeds are supposedly ADSL2 but we can't get above 6 down and 0.25 up so as far as I can tell the ADSL1 WIC should suffice.

Any advice or suggestions as to what else to look at welcomed :)

1700 series should be fine. You will need some sort of switch to connect to it.

Good to know - it'll hook up to our Procurve 1810-24g.

Thanks for the responses all. That last one was slightly out of budget. :p
