Being that the full product line up is still not fully unveiled I would still hold some small hope out for 5GHz boost later on this year or next with that said 12C 24T at 3.8GHz base and 4.6GHz boost is nothing to blink at and not terribly far off (hopefully this part is X370 compatible)
As for individuals getting upset with Adored TV's speculation being off the man always says to take his info with a grain of salt, all prices and specs are at best real leaks at worst lies/bad information and everything is subject to change before launch, he explains as best he can about his sources when they tell him and how much faith he personally has in them, and dont forget the human factor when dealing with sources, AMD would fire any one caught divulging any information right before a major launch there is a chance that different parts of AMD were fed different information to clamp down on leaks and identify the departments that are leaking he might have gotten the guy fed the optimistic line but thats just me speculating.
Anyway I always take leaks and speculation with plenty of salt and i personally did not get upset with any of the new information, yes its not as peachy as we all hoped but its still really good and im excited to see how the x570 and 12c monsters preform when launched it also would not surprise me if AMD come out with a very high clocking 8c16t part later on after the 7nm process has matured some, if they can steal the single core performance crown from intel even for a little bit it would really shake up the market but thats just my wishfull thinking.
EDIT: was just doing some more reading up on the 3000 Series stream and ppl are saying with the 15% IPC increase it will make 4.6GHz on Zen 2 = to 5GHz on Zen+ so awesome if true will have to wait for the reviews in july
