So where does crossfire figure in to this chip let design? Could there be a high speed bus to the cpu? Add in gpu cards? Add in cpu cards? Add in tensor cards?

At the very least 2 Vega 64 + 15% cards for less than a 1080ti??

It all depends which variant of the Navi will be used for chiplet configs and If true to begin with :D

Wow this has be super excited. I am a little skeptical on the clock speeds but hopeful.

I'm really hoping the 3700X stays in the AM4 socket. I could easily justify a processor swap, but not sure I'd want to replace a motherboard and monoblock.

Amazing if true, next year will finally be the upgrade year if this shakes out close to these specs. That 3700X looks to be the sweetspot. I wonder what Threadripper 3950X looks like then! #mindblown

Yeah, It does not sit well with the intel crowd. Especially those that just got the 8086 or the 9900. Looks like AMD is going to shit all over that parade.

Well remember in the video he did say take it with a grain of salt, so I mean there is going to be some hype. Lets just wait for Kyle's review!

its funny how none of us believe this is true, because after these last ten years intel has trained us to limit our expectations..

but damn, maybe I should buy even more AMD stock...

You know I considered it and I think AMD stock will be Ryzen to bad I had the brain off when it dropped to $16 recently.

Can you imagine a 16c/32t CPU at 5.1ghz? That is fucking mind boggling.....Need Kyle to see if that is on all cores!

The information from the video is refering to a turbo of 1 core. However, since you were getting hot in the pants, here's a some LN2 action to cool you off:

Back in August, Ivan Cupa pushed a 2990wx 32c/64t to a _ hair under 6ghz across all cores stable enough to get a screen grab:

The 7nm chips should be a tradeoff of 15-30% less power or more speed :S

Here comes the usual AMD hype train. Feels like deja vu....

true, true.. all though this feels like ryzen first gen where AMD basically stayed silent on the marketing front other than the one media event then blamo ryzen appears and is competitive against intel. but yeah i'm still slightly skeptical of the clocks but i'd be surprised if AMD even announces the clock speeds at CES. the GPU's performance wise i might believe but i can't see AMD selling them at those prices unless they're expecting nvidia to drop prices on the RTX lineup by the time they release.

I watched this on my 4790k rig. I could swear, after the video was over, my little intel 4790 was trying harder...

That is funny as hell ^.^

Have been wanting to do an upgrade for quite awhile now but did not want to jump on win 10 crud until they figure some of it out more, more mainly from a price/performance aspect, 2600x look "sweet" almost jumped on when pricing here in great white north dropped a few times (just a tad over $230 plus tax/ship) but at the same time my funds available to do such not in greatest shape (life one situation after the other)

$2800+ top to bottom build is not exactly pocket change like it appears to be with some folks.
Ram pricing all over the damn place and gpu that I would have liked to have seen by now has not come about (not Nv guy, have not been for many years)

If there is a nice Zen 2 3xxx chip for a good price along with Navi Gpu to finally replace my aged phenom II 955 (980 speeds) Radeon 7870 system that has treated me so well (if some of the "leak" rings true) than will at least have an option should the funds be available.

---------------------------
--------

Maybe there will also be even better 5xx motherboards to support them with the price reduction that 4xx were supposed to have (didn't but that much more RGB crap lol).

We shall see soon enough, let's hope stock price jumps accordingly, as long as it "breaks" ~9400 USD (360 shares) I will be happy (break even plus a few bucks) be ecstatic if it booms at that magical $32 plus per share mark..no reason why it should not IF they release on time with as good if not better performance/price and feature set with new motherboard to back them up...hopefully is a wonderful new year (for everyone of course) fast approaching ^.^

I think I just lost my pants.

Oh, and btw, AMD GPUs will have driver support in Linux on day 0

It's impossible to take this guy seriously when he is so openly bias against Intel and NVidia.

Im hoping the specs/clocks for the 3700X and 3850X are accurate because I am right fixated on those two parts....

Also that Radeon RX3080 could be a real market disruptor too if true...

i went from the phenom II 940 3.8Ghz to a R5 1600(3.4Ghz stock), absolutely no regrets. the performance difference was insane.

I have been itching to buy Ryzen 3 2400G for months until I saw the CPU lists. Ryzen 3 3300G 6c/12t/15cu for $129??

I'm in!

And this gonna be a nightmare waiting for Intel.

Are the R 9s four 4 core chiplets? That's TR territory.

two 8 core chiplets i believe since the chiplets can be configured up to 8 cores

Also for those asking if it will stay on the am4 socket, it will. AMD said that the am4 socket will be supported till 2020, after that it will be am5 and so on

Yeah, four chiplets plus io die would be too big for an AM4 package–it just fits with a bit of breathing room on TR4/SP3.

I switched from my 6700k to a Ryzen 2700x for my media PC. It's busy with Media center and a silicon Dust HD system, Steam games, 1070 Vive, bit torrent at times. The 6700k was maxing out, no problems with the 2700x. Go AMD! I still have AMD's first Athlon! It's in my arcade, still working after all these years!

I can't wait!

God I hope the bit about x570 being required for the 16 core parts isn't right. I'm gonna be pissed being as I just bought a Crosshair VII Hero earlier this year. If ASUS doesn't find a way to make it work (being as this board already has an auxiliary power connector for the CPU) I'm gonna be seriously torn about shelling for a $500 processor and another new motherboard.

i wouldn't be surprised if some high end x470 boards could support it but could be possible that maybe the 16 core part allows more PCIE 3.0/4.0 lanes which makes sense for it to be used on the x570 boards instead. but we'll see.. there's no reason the crosshair VII shouldn't be able to support a 135w TDP processor. there's no way the b450's will support it though that's for sure.

So wait, AMD's making a $130 6 core Ryzen CPU with Vega graphics? Are you shitting me? My computers feel old already.

I will replace my 2400g with the 3300g or 3500g. As for the iGPU, having 15 or 20 cus of Navi seems wasteful as they will be even more memory choked than the current APUs assuming these are dual channel DDR4 setups which is a pretty safe assumption.

(Having x570 use triple channel memory would be kind of cool imho)

Not knowing how computers work, what would prevent AMD from making GPUs the same as as CPU , io die with multiple gpu chiplets? Also, I imagine those x86 components could be replaced or combined with ARM components?...
All in all things look bright even if they only attack mid low gpu markets. The cpu side looks really good.
Theres that saying about need being the mother of all invention and what not.. well AMD was basically boxed in a need of being the most efficient with silicon, bad or good, so this way the figured out a lot of efficiency.
