I'm trying to compress a video that's only 2.5 minutes long so that it still has good quality but isn't over 50mb's. I really don't want to compress it with divx because i want to use it on a website so that the users can view it without having to download a new codec. Anybody got any ideas?

WMV (Windows Media Audio/Video) wouldn't be a bad way to go - quality is marginal, but definitely far from horrible. Many sites like to use Quicktime, but it's a pain for PC users since it requires downloading Apple's little bloatware app.

Sure, it'd be nice if everybody already had an MPEG4 codec installed on their system - but if you want something with solid compatability, WMV would prolly' be the ticket.

When i try to export the video using wmv i try to choose the highest quality and it still exports the video and the quality looks like complete crap.
