Add 1gb to nettop, acer revo? How to know what kind to get

Ok, simple question for you guys, but comfusing to me.

I recently got my gf an acer revo, the $200 model with only 1gb of ram. Well we've noticed it getting pretty bogged down memory wise as videos chop and such.

So as for upgrading, how to do that? How can I make sure to get the proper ram? Does it have to match, and if it does how so?

I cant imagine a 1gb stick of ddr2 to be very much so I thinks its pretty easy to upgrade.

If the one you have in the system was a PC2-4200, then it does not matter if you buy a PC2-4200 or PC2-5300. However, if it was a PC2-5300, it is recommended to buy another same speed or higher because it will downgrade to that speed automatically.
