Acquiring software to go with a key purchased in the forum

How does one usually obtain installation media to make use of a Microsoft software "key" purchased in the forum? For example, there are great prices available here on keys for Microsoft Office. (I will link to the thread only if I know that such linking is allowed.) But the purchase is useless without the actual software to install.

The other thread I found on this subject is a decade old and does not address this question.
