Hey all,

I am seriously considering buying one of these.. in the 8102 guise.. but a few questions.

Should i stretch for the 8103? or just upgrade the bits in a year or so?

or

Should i save a few months more and just get a Lenovo T43 ?

I was already saving for a T43, but a guy at work suggested i look at the Acers.. i have never seen the Acer in the 'flesh' but i use an IBM daily at work.. (T42)

the most important thing to me is the screen and resolution.. must be atleast 1400x1050 so this rules out all Lenovos bar the top of the range 2.

what are your views..

Maybe some links to both systems would get you more replies.

I've got an older Z500 series from Acer and love it.
 
The Acer models have a superior video card. Thats about all I can see as far as tech spec differences.

In all honesty the performance differences in both Acer models would be almost none. Your just going from a PM 1.7 to a 1.8.

My lappie has a 1.3 in it and does everything I want it to do. Plays older games decently as well.
 
does anyone have 1st hand experience with comparison between Acer and IBM screens?
