Bandai Namco just announced the promotional schedule for Ace Combat 7, and surprisingly, the game is set to get a new trailer approximately every two days, starting today. Today's trailer introduces the F-15C Eagle, and each subsequent trailer will showcase a different aircraft. Unfortunately, the compressed YouTube videos are unlikely to do these aircraft justice. Aside from the usual support for "Anti-Aliasing, Bloom, Effects, Motion Blur, Post-Processing, Screen Space Reflections, and Shadows," the PC version of Ace Combat 7 is supposed to support 2x resolution scaling, which means the game will officially support running at 8K on a 4K monitor, or at 4K on a 1080p monitor. The (allegedly) high graphical fidelity and performance of Ace Combat 7 is unsurprising, as previous Ace Combat games looked remarkably good, given the specs of the console hardware they ran on.

Keep an eye on Bandai Namco's Youtube channel for the new trailers, and check out the PC graphics trailer here.

These recommendations are backed-up by our own testing, which shows the GeForce GTX 1060 running at 100 FPS at max settings at 1920x1080, and even performing at 60 FPS at 2560x1440. For 4K, however, you’ll need a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, RTX 2080 Ti, or RTX 2080 to get a rock-solid, 60 FPS+ experience.

I seem to recall getting Ace Combat for my Xbox... backlog.

I will probably pick this one up.

I played an Ace Combat on PSII many years ago. Enjoyed it allot. Looking forward to this one.

I played the demo at GDC which was featured at Epics booth. The game looked absolutely fantastic. I remember the friend I made there. A game developer from Florida who is an aircraft fan. The way his face lit up seeing the F35 info.

I still have the footage of him playing that he asked me to record; and me like an asshat never sent it to him.

NICE! This game looks great, I love fighter pilot games, also play some DCS occasionally.

Oh, dear. He's probably waiting by the mailbox.

I want to love the ace combat series but the amount of escort babysitting/linear missions are between tedious and masochistic.

How come nobody has ever tried an open world fighter jet game? Picturing like Freelancer but for cities around the globe?

That's all fine and dandy, but why the fuck do PlayStation gamers get a PSVR version, and PC VR users are out. We get nothing, just like Resident Evil 7. As a heavy PC VR (Vive) user, I'm starting to hate Sony.

And yeah, I have a PS4, Xbox S, and a Nintendo Switch. Not a console hater here, but I'm getting at the end of my rope with Sony and buying VR.

Best ace combat was the ps vita version. Great for traveling when I was in my mid 20s. Have always been fond of the series

But...

Hopefully it isnt a train wreck like the last joke they tried to push on us.

A trailer every two days? Good way to spoil the game. :p

Because it would be retarded.

I wish high SSAA had been the standard for the past 15 years, but better late than never. I've found 4x SSAA tends to be where I really stop noticing all artifacting from aliasing in games.

I like combat flight sims, but good flight sims are rare (I still play 'Dawn Patrol' on occasion). Ace Combat is a bit too arcade for my preference.

P.S. Call sign 'Vagrant', a name given by my friend because I'd fly to the mission area and then stand around.

You mean the PSP? Yeah, X was suprisingly good, but I never got around to playing the sequel. My PSP is still in a box somewhere...

I am still frosty over the Jane's A-10 game cancellation many years ago. An old gamer clan mate from the day was on the dev team and he broke the news to me before it hit the wires. (FSC)Toes, are you out there?

anyone remember H.A.W.X.? that was sorta ace combat esc and looked friggin amazing at the time as well.

warthunder with VR, best combat flight game out there right now in my opinion even if it's not 100% sim like.

Yeah! wrong psp. It's about the only game I played on it. Just like Hot Shots and Persona are the only I ever really played on Vita. Good for travel when stuffed on a plane.

HAWX didn't look that good. Ace Combat 6 on 360 looked better than HAWX on PC. The effects, sounds and plane 3D models were poorer to. It was certainly a playable game and an okay Ace Combat knockoff but very uninspired. They were too lazy to give 3D models to all the planes. For example, entirely different planes shared the same 3D model such as the MIG-25 and MIG-31. I recall them using the same 3D model for the F-15C and E as well.
