Account Expiration

I'm sure this has been asked, but I spent some time searching, and couldn't find it. I may be taking a rather extended trip to a place without electricity, let alone internet access. I was just wondering if there's a set expiration period for inactive accounts. I know they're kind of done on an "as needed" basis, but I don't know where the line is. Also, I only had $5 in my paypal acct at the time, so I only went with the year for genmay. Would upgrading to lifetime affect whether or not I was purged?

No theres no set time as far as i know.

You are right, account purges aren't automatic. They've been done periodically, last was over a year ago (before subscriptions), then it was based on criteria like last access (3 or 4 months, I believe), meaning had your account/cookie been used, even if no posting occurred.

Kyle would be the only one to answer whether or not subscribers are "protected" from any purge. If so, I'd imagine it'd only be valid for your subscription period.

Where are you going that you wouldn't even have electricity? That sounds totally barbaric.

Going to be doing some work in India, right along the China Border, with some trips to Nepal here and there. If I've got the lat/long right, about the middle of this page:

I'm going there for a week next month, then maybe for a much longer period of time next year. Maybe I'll start a genmay thread w/some photos (after all, why post in the photography forum, lol) when I get back. Now what was that about every thread here turning OT?

I am curious if the sub effects it at all, so I'll leave the thread open for now in hopes that the Mr. Bennet may wander by, but no more OT discussion OK Lethal.
