ABIT AI7 with 1.5 GB RAM?

I have an ABIT AI7 mobo, 2.6C P4, and 512 x 2 Corasir XMS Cas2 RAM running in dual channel mode.

I'd like to add another 512MB stick of the same RAM to increase performance some in Battlefield 2. Will this cause any problems? I know I won't be able to run in dual channel mode but I just want BF2 to run somewhat smoother and I heard that with more RAM I could accomplish that...

boards dual channel, anything added should be in pairs


if you have used GAT to enable the equivilant to PAT, then this wont work more than sticks from what ive heard.

Also there could be problems if you mix different ram types. Ive mixed some stuff with luck and other brands just wouldnt do it, its a crap shoot if you mix ram brands.
