A8N SLI Premium CPU Voltage problems

In my BIOS I cannot seem to select anything higher then 1.5. I thought that this mobo supported up to 1.6. I am trying to overclock my x2 4400 to 2.5 or 2.6 but I believe it needs more voltage. When I go back to an earlier BIOS which is on the support cd. Though, I am not to sure how old it is, but it has a completely different POST Screen. It will let me go up to 1.6 but not on the newer BIOS.
 
So why is it not showing up, at least? I just want to see if I can get the thing to 2.6 or so...I think I can do it if my voltages show up right.
 
I heard that there were some voltage problems on the X2 when running the SLI Premium. Should I try switching BIOS? This is starting to grate my nerves and I am really close to ordering a new MOBO.
 
Yeah, switching does nothing, I am running out of ideas. I don't know why I cannot select higher voltages.
 
i got the 1009 bios and i can only go to 1.5 also.

i am using the asus probe software and it seems to report high values that what i set in the bios...anyone else have similar experience?
