A Picture I Took 2018 - 2019

Vertical panorama of Hong Kong Central with the 24mm PC-E (shifted down and up, then stitched)...I can kind of tell the extremes of the shift movements are a bit soft but it doesn't impact the final image that much.

Pushed the a73 sensor a bit here...single exposure into the sun processed in Lightroom going for funzies a bit into the HDR look territory. Hope the finished look does not look too artificial, but I wanted to play around

Nothing professional list most of you peeps. Just some pics with my phone from vaca.

I actually like the pics, both composition and colors (they give that nice vacation vibe), yeah DR is low but that can give a cool high contrast look

Anyway I was bored at home so I played a bit with some light painting

Thanks. The third one I played with one of the settings before uploading. It's called "bleached".

This one I was playing with the settings when it happened. I opted for the pic than correct settings

Not sure how this will look on here since I don't want to blow out the thread width. Messing with panoramic.

Everytime I go to this thread I am always blown away but the quality of pictures, models, scenery and talent. Wicked stuff, keep it up!

Transported to another world in Brawley, CA.

Gorgeous, love the sand texture and composition :)

Anyway, played a bit tonight with some light painting in a nearby park, don't have yet a remote shutter for the new camera so i was limited to 30 sec exposures

Source of light single flashlight (Olight R50 pro - on turbo can do 3200 lumens for about 3 min)

Blended two exposures, but i had a lot of trouble getting to the top - the flashlight is not a thrower and the trees are huge

Was in Santa Ynez for a friend's memorial/life celebration. No pics of that, but got out and up Figueroa Mountain Road and Zaca Ridge Road for some half decent pics. Pushed my old 70D a bit, and was traveling light, so just the workman 18-135 STM on the camera.

I can't make up my mind which composition I like better on this:

I think the first one, as it lays out with the old perspective grids like this:

On the CV40. When focusing I am seeing fairly strong fringing - purple and magenta. Is that normal? When using the 12x magnification on a Sony a7R2.

The halo behind this is actually another leaf - DOF obliterated it.

Some lenses just have bad chromatic aberration. Nothing out of the ordinary.
