A Look into the Chinese Cyber-Invasion

Is it bad that I LIKE doing manual labor jobs between the computer work?

Seriously, construction and demolition is fun. Well mostly demolition.

The US spent the last hundred years idolizing the idiot that grabs a ball and runs for the other end of the field.

Is it really surprise to anyone that the US is losing ground in pretty much every way possible? The neanderthal running around on a field with a ball isn't going to acheive much in life, but you can be damn sure he'll get pile of money from a college to go run around on their field. Heaven forbid America promote intellectual acheivement.

While I don't agree with superstar athletes salaries, they are what they are; however, sports has always been equated with academic prowess as well throughout history.

Sparta believed that a well rounded education included the academics, music, and sports/military. Some of the greatest military commanders throughout history were noted intellectuals as well as great athletes. Many of pro athletes have some nice college degrees, one of the recent football draftees (forgot his name) has 3 degrees from Rice which he did in 4 years and still played and maintained a level of athleticism to play at a level to get drafted in the NFL.

China has the same emphasis on sports in America we do, so do many other developed countries, and America's emphasis on Intellectualism while not as great as it once was is still one of the most unsurpassed in the world. It is the reason that Engineers and many of the Science positions have the highest starting salaries of college graduates. It is the reason why numerous scholarships and internships are available, but at the same time our high-schools don't do a good enough job preparing kids for these fields like many other countries do which is where our largest short coming is as a whole in the modern education fields.
