• 4GB Corsair 800 Mhz

• OCZ Core series V2 30 GB SSD (soon to be changed to Vertex 60 GB SSD)
• Seagate Momentus 250 GB 7200 RPM drive
• WD 500 GB HD.
• Antec Neo 650 watt PSU
• Noctua UH9 heatsink and fan
• Windows 7 Build 7057 64 bit

Having said all that, by far the biggest noticeable
difference I've seen over the years in everyday use,
using various CPU's, RAM etc is the move to SSD, but
the core series is showing signs of "stuttering" so this
needs to be changed to a better SSD.

The wood carving has begun

The back side. Removed as much material to reduce weight, but ribs kept for strength.

The front side. Ground down using an angle grinder with a special abrasive disc.

And to give you an idea of how it will eventually fit...

To put it simply, I think the wood is going to ruin it entirely. It looks very nice now, and unique. It's just going to be a wooden box with some rather rough, forced looking curves once he adds the panels.

Hmm, why do all the fancy aluminum work when you're going to wrap it with wood? With that much detail I figured the case would be left alone...
