9800gtx horrible?

just a little rant. i've posted here before about my 9800gtx crash issues.i assume i fixed it by underclocking my memory by 50mhz, eversince no more crash presumes, i can overclcok the core clock and it'll still be fine. as of right now i have the current 175.19 driver. problem still arises, as i play COD4, i get horrible fps, while my cousin with an oc version of a single 8800gt gets MUCH better fps than i with same settings, WTF is up? i literally just want to burn my shitty 9800gtx up. any clue?:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: WTF?!?
 
just did a 3dmark test. heres what i got, i don't know how to read it

wtf? that score looks bad
 
Run everything stock and reinstall your drivers, and don't forget to use a driver cleaner. Usually this is the best way to start troubleshooting the situation.

i've tried that before. but crash still occurred. maybe i have a faulty card, id ont' want to go through the trouble of having to send in the card. i mean, it RUNS fine dont' get me wrong, but it doesn't run as well as it should or as i expect.
 
my 9800gx2 BSODs in COD4 as well....

clean driver install, even when everything is running stock and all fans at 100%
 
Try running cod4 at stock cpu speeds. For some reason cod4 does not like cpu or gpu ocs at all.
 
What kind of FPS are you getting in COD4? I've got 8800GTS G92 (practically the same card) and its smooth as butter here. Also, is it only COD4, are other games fine?

i can't exactly reply to that, because COD4 is the only game that shows up the fps. i mean, don't get me wrong, they all run smoothe when my internet isn't acting up. but besides that, i run at 1680 x 1050 with 2xaa in COD. and its inconsistant you can say, fps turns red yeilding that its low at times. my cousin with a oc version of 8800gt gets even better fps. sorry if that doesn't make sense.
 
i notice my shadows are also very pixellated, like choppy, but i dont' really complain about it.
