Place your vote. I'll be ordering in a few hours. Pics to come when it's delivered.

Current pricing:
MSI 6G - $673
Asus Strix OC - $690
Gigabyte G1 - $690
eVGA Classified - $710

I've done a lot of research, and decided to get the Classifieds. Seems they have a low occurrence of coil whine, are fast, and have a high resale.

eVGA has priced the Classified very competitive this go round that it is really a no brainier.

I have no regrets going for an EVGA Classified. I got tired of waiting for the Asus to be in stock. I am glad I didn't wait.

My vote go straight to the classified but also can vote for the Gigabyte G1 Gaming. both are the best 980TI I've had in hands..

I think I'll be getting a G1 as soon as I get my money back. Freesync be damned, it doesn't matter at 144hz that much anyway.

It provides the highest clock / price ratio out of the box. And the reviews suggest decent OC potential on top as well.

Get the cheapest, they should all OC similarly, and is the Classified really worth $40 more to you?

From the price of Lightning in Taiwan, it should be bang on $700 in the US, or very slightly above it ($720 tops)

If this is to compete with the Kingpin, then I can see the possibility of a much higher price in the USDM.

Besides, I'm ordering today. And the [H]orde has spoken - the Classified has been ordered directly from eVGA. I just added my own vote to go along with the majority.

A big THANK YOU to everyone that participated by voting and providing feedback and advice. \m/

I have a evga and zotac amp extreme. Love them both but the zotac runs better. I do love me some Asus cards in the past though.

Not sure about that, from the hardware prices in US compared to that of Taiwan, the markup across the board has been pretty consistent. I don't really see how lightning would be a better value in Taiwan than in the US, especially considering Taiwan market is becoming niche.

Has it even been confirmed for a US release? I read the reviews, but none say "Expect to see in the US by _____."

I am actually far more surprised it isn't in the US yet.

If anything, there are plenty of hardware that's branded and designed by Taiwanese companies but is actually never sold in Taiwan (G-Sync monitors for example. We still only have 2 G-sync's, and there are at least 4 made by Taiwanese companies).

G1 seems to get the highest clocks due to the cooler.
I own an EVGA SC+ ACX 2.0+ but if I was buying again, I'd get the G1.

For those that have ordered from evga.com before:

How long does it usually take to go from Approved, Pending Shipment to Shipped?

Depends, though usually 1 or 2 business days from pending to shipped.

Thanks. I'll give eVGA until tomorrow evening. If it hasn't shipped by then, then I'm going to call them an raise concern why a customer that is spending $700 + shipping must wait so long for the order to be processed and shipped.

My mindset is that if other companies including Amazon, Newegg, Directron, and NCIX (hell, even people selling stuff on eBay) as examples can utilize the wonders of technology in the year 2015 to ship same or 1 day from the time an order is placed, then there is no excuse or good reason that eVGA can't do the same.

Just a quick question did EVGA charge you tax? I canceled my SLI TI order just for the sake of saving $100 in taxes. OUCH.

Tick-tock, eVGA. If it's not shipped by the 48 hour mark from time of ordering, I'll likely be cancelling my order and purchasing a Ti from a competitor's brand. Plenty for me to pick from, and the Strix OC is in 2nd place. :)

Update:
Just got off the phone with eVGA sales support, and the gentleman stated that a system problem on their end concerning order fullfillment/inventory allocation is what the delay was from. It'll supposedly be shipping out today and I should get a tracking number this evening by 8PM CST.

*sigh*

Status now shows:
Order shipping, prending pickup from UPS

Little bit of light signaling the end of the tunnel.

Delivery was scheduled for last Wed. Attempt was made when I was at work, so I didn't get it until yesterday. But now I'm at a family function for the weekend, but pictures will be coming hopefully Mon-Tue when I get back and set aside some time to get it installed.

I'll be able to run some after benchmarks, but my 780s were both sold about 2 weeks ago, so I won't be able to have a basis for comparison, unfortunately.

Enjoy. My FTW has been nothing short of awesome. Plays everything at 4K very well. GTA V, Mad Max, Farcry 4, Crysis 3, all look fantastic. Maxing every slider or selection (no AA but at 4K I don't notice jaggies) does bring the FPS down to 30 in some games but I can live with that.
