9600XT Compatibility w/ VIA MB chipset (KT600)

Has anyone had compatibility issues with a 9600XT and VIA KT600 chipset? I read a few places where this occurred and was resolved by changing AGP to 4X. Specifically, I will be installing the Gigabyte 9600XT (GV-R96X128D) into an ASUS A7V600-X.

Any input would be appreciated.

For the life of me I can't remember which mobo I was testing but it was amd and had a via chipset, and I couldnt run a 5600 at agp8x cause it would crash after a few minutes into a game. Changing it fo r4x did work for us however. Now that I think about it, i've had bad experiences with via chipsets

I should be getting the rig put together tonight, so I will find out if there is an issue. I haven't had any issues with VIA chipsets to date, so this may be my first one. I will look to see if a BIOS revision addresses the AGP compatibility or maybe the VIA updates for the chipset help if it flakes out. I'll update this when I know more. Thanks for letting me know the 4X fixed your issue.
