8800GTS vs GTX for Dell 30" monitor

Hey Guys,

Got a friend who has the 30inch dell monitor, he mainly plays WoW, but would like to play BF2 every once in a while as well as other games. Is the GTX worth it, or should he just get the GTS?
 
I imagine he'd want the GTX, since I am running the 24" and there are some titles where I wish the performance was a little better.
 
I would recommend an 8800GTX :)

If he plans on turning up the eyecandy (AA and AF) he will need the extra power.
 
Get the GTX dude, the GTX has a surprising lead over the GTS at super-high resolutions like 2560x1600. I run a 3007 with a 8800gtx and it's a match made in heaven.

Can you run most games on high with one 8800 GTX and on 2560x1600
 
yeah .. i know someone who does with 1 gtx .. like bf2 .. i think 8x aa and 8x af
