Hello [H]'ers! Here's the thing, I'm looking to upgrade my monitor from a Samsung SyncMaster 940BW 19" Widescreen w/ native resolution of 1440x900, to something in the 1680x1050 range. Now I currently have a 2900XT (as if we all didn't know that) but it's a changeable market, and if/when prices fall I might well have the new monitor hooked up to an 8800 GTS/GTX, or whatever the next round of cards might bring. So, if you're currently running one of these three cards, and game at a default resolution of 1680x1050 or higher, could you please share with me what monitor you're using? Your input and suggestions would help a great deal in deciding which monitor to get. A big thank you in advance! :)

8800 GTX with an HP LP3065 at 2560x1600

edit: currently debating whether to go SLI with it at the moment.

2 dell 2007WFP's on an 8800 GTX.

If you are getting something that puts out 1680x1050 your X2900 will be fine.

Thanks guys! Keep 'em coming.

(at cooter): From what I've been seeing around the web, yeah. One of the things I'm immediately interested in is being able to game at a resolution that will allow the AA to be a more tangible aspect of the IQ. At the moment gaming at 1440x900 is effortless for the card, but I want more. In truth, I'd love to go higher, to 1920x1200, but those monitors are actually more expensive here in China than they are in the States (too little volume, I suppose).

EVGA 8800GTS 320MB @ 650 / 1000, Viewsonic VX2025WM. 1680x1050.

SLI 8800GTX, Dell 2407@1920x1200.
Saving my pennies for a 27" Dell.
Look if you are shopping for a bigger monitor, the Dell 24 inch monitors are pretty easy to find on eBay.

JUST SOLD - 2x 3VGA 8800GTS 320MB Superclocked editions @650/950 in SLi
TO BE REPLACED WITH - 8800GTX Ultra (some OC edition) 1 week from yesterday
RUNNING ON - Westinghouse LVM37-W3 1920x1080p

8800GTS 640 on a Westy 42" 1920x1080. Everything is playable at native res and usually maxed settings.

eVGA 8800 GTS 640mb running on a Samsung 206BW (20", got it for only $200) at 1680x1050.

Outstanding monitor. Check it out, especially with the mail in rebate. I would've gone bigger, but I'm in college and I need the space/money I save from a larger monitor, lol.

eVGA 8800gts 640, Chimei 22" LCD, 1680x1050.

Lots of 22's are low $200 now.

I upgraded from a 74 POUND 21" CRT, which backed into my wall off the desk. I think a 19" widescreen would be great for me if I had already had one. Just my 2 cents.

Viewsonic 21" widescreen 1680X1050 and I've just hooked my 8800GTX to my Samsung HLT6176S (1920X1080) although I still haven't figured out what to do about overscan yet.

BFG 8800GTX OC with a Samsung 226BW 22" LCD (1680 x 1050)

Next update is another 22" LCD for a multi-monitor setup (non-gaming related) or possibly a 30" when prices come down

Upgraded to a Dell 3007, but running everything at 1920x1200 instead of native. That's with a 8800GTS 640mb. Did use a Sammy 244T 24", about to sell that one.

Chimei 221D - 22" 1680x1050. It has a very crisp, gorgeous display. It was incredibly well priced when I bought it. I highly recommend it - I use it with a Geforce 8800 GTS 640. No ghosting to speak of, and the color is more even than many much more expensive 22" that I have seen.

1280x1024 Native

:(

8800GTX (SLI) with an LG 24"HD Display (19x12) Upgraded from a Apple 23" Cinema Display. Worth EVery penny. PLus I just stuck a bluray drive in my pc for HDMI.

HD2900XT on a 24in. Gateway native resolution is 1920*1200 and I play all my games at that resolution, including Stalker, Supreme commander ect.

8800GTX on a Samsung SyncMaster 204B, 1600x1200, 5ms

I did hook it up to one of my 21" CRTs (HP P1110, Sony Trinitron tube) a few days ago just to see 1800x1440 and 2048x1536

EVGA 8800GTS 640mb on a Samsung 245bw @ 1920x1200. Pretty good at max/high settings except Lost Planet and DiRT. Still impressed with the GTS at this res., though i wish I would've gone for the GTX :(

Got the 245bw for $500 at Best Buy, of course its a TN panel but its for gaming so I'm satisfied.
