8800 GTX SLI issue

Hey all, having some troubles getting stability when running these cards in SLI. if SLI is disabled, i have no problems in bad company 2, the game works fine. when i enable SLI that is when the problems start to occur

so far, the latest beta drivers that were relased this year work, but they cause a crazy amount of artifacts/tearing. i believe it was release 265/266.35

i tried release 260/260.99 and i get the same thing.

i rolled back to drivers that were released in august of 09, release 190.62 or something like that. this driver release would crash/freeze the game as soon as the map has finished loading.

does anyone know if there is an optimal driver for running 8800 GTX's in SLI, like how my 4870x2's in CFX crash on every driver release past 10.5a

rig specs are:

AMD phenom ii x4 940 BE
Asus m2n-sli deluxe mobo flash to latest bios to support the 940 BE (has nforce 570 MCP)
some old ddr2 800mhz OCZ ram
XFX 750W black edition PSU. its a single 60A rail
Win 7 ult 64 bit, this is a fresh install and no other drivers but nvidia are on this install

I had no problem with 4870X2s in Crossfire X on 10.10e, but 10.6 was a disaster. I didn't try 10.7/8/9 to my knowledge.

hm, maybe ill try 10.10e, i gave up after 10.8b
