Hello guys,
did you check that 8 TB PCI-E SSD drive Dell ?
If somebody buy one ... could you please share some tests with us.

The only 8TB NVMe I've seen is the Sabrent Rocket Q

A bit pricey, but if you need 8TB on a single NVMe... that's what it costs.

I am talking about this one:

Dell NVMe HGST SN260 7.68TB Enterprise PCIe 3.0x8 HHHL AIC SSD

Another option is to get NVMe controller and to put there 4 x 2 TB Intel 630p SSDs.

But price should be almost the same and performance not so great.

Life of that Dell SSD is perfect.

It looks like WD continued evolution of the old Fusion IO line.

There were a few of us who got the $400 Lenovo branded 6.4TB SX350 Fusion IOs which were the 2017 or so era successor to the SX300. It should be fairly comparable to any modern NVMe drive in terms of speed but with enterprise level endurance and somewhat lower power consumption because they need fewer chips than then. I want to say that the SX350 was around 3000MB/S Read when I benchmarked it.

It sound damn good to me. I will tried it then and retire my 12 TB HDD.

Looks like that Dell is either 2 TB 4-lane NVMe drives or 4 2TB 2-lane (B-key) NVMe drives glued (RAID-0) together. Only seeing it on ebay though, for $1200.

You could make your own, save $150, and not worry as much about warranty because you didn't buy it on Ebay

Just buy 2 of these:
https://www.newegg.com/xpg-4tb-sx8100/p/0D9-00DF-000A5

and one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/Supermicro-AOC-SLG3-2M2-PCIe-Add-Card/dp/B071S3ZY8P

EDIT: Note that when searching for those 2xNVMe to PCIe adapter cards, a lot of them have 1 M-key and 1 B-Key, not sure why. PCIe usually goes from 4 lanes to 8 lanes, haven't seen 6 lanes before...
