7950x with XFX Merc 319 7900xtx

Had some time today for a little tweaking on my 7950x/XFX Merc310 7900xtx. Very Pleased

That's a very good score for the Merc. My Red Devil (which has a higher power limit) gets just over 31k.

What settings are you using? My best results have been with 1020mv, 3000mhz core/2700mhz mem, +15% power limit.

I've been so busy between work and building computers on the side that I honestly haven't had time to fool with it much. Right now it just has a slight undervolt, maxed the power slider, and adjusted the fan curve. Perhaps this weekend I can play with the clocks.

Compared to my old OC'd 6900XT (also a XFX Merc), this card OC'd is over 50% faster in Time Spy Extreme. Not too shabby.

I've got a 7700X and a Red Devil 7900 XTX LE - getting far lower scores.

Got this warning - https://support.benchmarks.ul.com/s...ark-tessellation-load-modified-result-invalid - cleared the profile and re-started 3DMark but it still shows up. Maybe that's affecting it. Perhaps after a reboot...

Not sure but maybe that error is from one of the tessellation settings in the Adrenalin software?

Also, I have to say that the XFX card looks pretty dang good. Although I need to pull it out and install the brace, just to be safe.

Yeah, the link says what it is. I did the fix and it still isn't fixed. The other recommendation is to reinstall everything cleanly. Coming from the NVIDIA side where everything just works, it's frustrating.

Were your 7700X / 7900 XTX numbers based on OC in both cases?

Yeah the XFX was overclocked and the 7700x has a negative voltage offset, which does increase the clocks a decent bit.

EDIT: Moved this rig over to NVIDIA and upgraded the CPU - now running a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition with an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X CPU along with 64GB of G.Skill DDR5-6000 CL30 on the ASRock X670E Taichi mobo. Sold the Red Devil 7900 XTX LE card on eBay. Great card but my buddy that was going to buy my RTX 4090 FE backed out and I figured it was worth keeping versus selling!

I usually run DDU (https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html):
1. after changed every card
2. before updated driver

So far this is the best cleanup software that doesn't need installation and leave no trace of old driver.

Ehhhh. Even watching the video, he should've probably switched back to the 4090. He wasn't able to achieve anywhere close to 240fps in basically any game he was playing so "only" being limited to 144Hz while using the 4090 kinda didn't matter. In a title like Cyberpunk (especially with RT), the 4090 would still get much higher frame rates, though it's obvious neither would touch 240.

Only other note is that resolution is measured horizontally and vertically. This is not 10k. Nowhere close. He'd have to around, sextuple the vertical height. I could figure out the exact number if I wanted to bother to figure out the aspect ratio and resolution of all of this, but it's not that important.
Suffice it to say, without adding additional vertical resolution, this is much much easier to render than a theoretical 16:9 10k display.

Driver issue. I fixed mine with DDU. Now I get clean runs.
