A new ABC Television survey says that 71% of Australians never look at internet porn. C'mon, really? They actually believed that? On a related note, the same survey proved that 29% of people in Australian are truthful when taking surveys.

We were also curious to know how many of you have actually been looking at naughty sites. When we asked “have you ever viewed material on the internet that would be Refused Classification”, 71% of you said “Never”, 24% said “Accidentally” and 6% said “On Purpose”. Men were more likely than women to have seen RC material (whether by accident or on purpose), and this likelihood decreased with age.

yeah yeah, and only 40% of US male admit to looking at internet porn, so then you could
say 60% of US males don't look at it. not to mention only 6% of US females admit to
looking at internet porn , that would put the US numbers very close to this survey, that is if
you think these people are really being truthful.

60% of the time, Surveys work 100% of the time.

You're so wise. You're like a miniature Buddha, covered in hair.

The guys over get laid all the time because they use a cologne called Sex Panther by Odeon. It's illegal in nine countries... Yep, it's made with bits of real panther, so you know it's good.

I don't think Refused Clasification means porn, do you really think Aussies are that prude?

From the article... yeah i know, reading is a bitch.

Survey participants were first read a definition of ‘Refused Classification’ as follows:

Images and information about one or more of the following:

- child sexual abuse
- bestiality
- sexual violence
- gratuitous, exploitative or offensive sexual fetishes; and
- detailed instructions on or promotion of crime, violence or use of illegal drugs

Umm, only **6%** are telling the truth... 24 or the 29% claimed they "accidentally" reach them... yeah, right.

71+24+6=101%? Why do i not trust this data.....
Ever heard of something called "rounding errors". Anyways, the error bounds for the survey are definitely larger than any integer rounding errors could ever be. Anyways, the first rule of tech articles in the general press is:
DON'T OVERANALYZE THEIR INNACCURATE OVER SIMPLIFICATIONS

Only cuz they censor everything there...if it wasn't for pristine beaches and wildlife...that place would be pretty lame.

Scroll down one paragraph:
And how many people have “ever viewed legal but sexually explicit material on the internet”? 26% said they had accidentally, 20% said they had on purpose and 60% said they had never.

BS story is BS

I concur.
Majority of Australians would have no problems admitting to beer, sleeping on the job, women, soft drugs(with pride).
On the other hand the ABC is nothing more than the bitch of the Labor government, hence the bs numbers.

I was down-under working in perth, and there were porn mag's in the crapper!!!! All the dudes (btwn 18-50 yrs old) there did was talk about porn and women. Every conversation!

Either DVD sales are way up, or this survey was taken at an old-age home which doesn't have internet access.

I reiterate, who gets porn from a website? You have a higher risk of getting infected on those than having actual unprotected sex.

I agree I also worked in Aussie land, in Perth and Exmouth and internet porn was quite high on the list of conversations and the guys even passed their cell phones around to see who had the best porn clips. Access to porn is also very easy, there is no filtering or censorship. The only shitty thing is their bandwidth throttling after seemingly small amounts of downloads, 4 to 8 gigs depending on provider,

So 71% if Australians do not have internet access.

More like they don't have the bandwidth. My counsins live there and from the way they describe it, they don't even have the bandwidth to play online games.
