Was up in the night, and early this morning to see the 6950 prices.

£219 for the 6950 vs £200 for the 6870.

I only got this pair of 6870s a few weeks ago and have to say it burns.

In all honesty, I never expected the 6950s to be so cheap and feel like i've seriously been stung here.

Never ever felt so hit by a new card launch before like this.

To make matters worse, the driver headaches i've had over the past few weeks and now there is a seed planted in my head that AMD will now focus on getting their 69xxs in good order neglecting 68xx owners just a few weeks after launch.

Any other 6870 buyers feeling remorse today?

Buyers remorse after just 3 weeks, ouch.

Only 3 weeks return them and upgrade..

sell them and get 6950 then ;)
I enjoy my current 6850 crossfire and had no need to upgrade.
still ordered 2x6950 since I enjoy playing with new tech with great price/performance.
selling off my 6850 :D

Looking at alot of benchies, I won't gain alot by changing if I game at 1920x1080. Feel sorta better about the whole thing now tbh.

I understand your pain, and felt similar with my single 6870 purchase v. Waiting for the 6950.

Ya im sad too, I bought a single 6870 a month ago because I wanted to eyefinity. I figured the 6950 would be 350 not 299, only 50 bucks more then 6870. But ill live, so far the 6870 is holding its on, and I didnt want to sink too much money in cause im waiting to see the 7000 series next year.

I'm on the same boat. Ordered a 6850 about a week ago thinking, "the 6950 is gonna be too expensive for me".. $300 is a bit of a stretch, but the performance is the real shocker here.

Might be selling my 6850..

I sold my 5870 to a buddy of mine for pretty cheap and picked up a 6870. I lost a little performance but it's physically smaller, and allows me to use both fans in the micro it's going into. It will serve it's purpose for me.

I can see how you could feel burned but really @ 19x10 the 6870 should be adequate.

As far as my main rig goes initially I had been contemplating 2x 6970/570/580 for 5760x1080 but at this point I really think I may go with 2x 6950's for $600. The 6950 seems to outpace the 570 and I think the 2gb will shine in eyefinity plus it sips power. Two 6970's don't really seem to be worth the extra $150 and 580's is overkill plus added power and Its gonna be running on an hx850.

The 6950 really is in a great spot. Great performance, great power consumption and a great price. It will be interesting to see what the latest Eyefinity vs. Surround article ends up looking like.

Agreed, for 2x 6950 looks pretty terrific, I am waiting on [H]'s crossfire review though.

i dont have much remorse either.

and i dont even have my 6870's yet. ill get them the morning of the 25th.

but i know the perf. is amazing for the price of $480 my sister paid. i dont think jumping upto 600 for 2 6950's justifies the $120 price difference.

the 2GB memmory is the only thing im a little down about not having even tho i do plan on using eyefinity soon, my primary use will still be single display at 120hz for First Person Shooters so i dont think ill mind dropping AA when i go to eyefinity in an RPG or other game that will support it.

No remorse here either. At 1080p with everything maxed why would I. And thanks mgulbran I didnt know there was an ignore feature. Welcome to my ignore list Arthur tiered of your endless crying about cards you probaby dont even own.

Too bad my Antec 300 Illusion case can't handle a VC more then 11" long. Seems like every card 69xx is 11"3 long. I'll wait a few months & they will make it a tad shorter! I don't feel bad about my 6870 purchase. Paid $214.99 for it. No complaints!

6870s in CF are still awesome, not that far behind 6950s in CF. Especially for 1080p. Plus there is less heat and power consumption. 6870s are still a good bang for the buck card in single or dual configuration. And, you still have mlaa and dx11.

Yeah, your right.

Seems because i'm playing at 1080p, the extra RAM doesn't come into it much. I generally use around x4 AA for most games as the performance hit is rarely worth it.

Oh, Boo Hoo Arthur, you are going on ignore.
