I though SMP would still be the best place to post this, as most K7D Master owners will read it here.

I am looking for a RAID card for my two 80GB Seagate 7200.7 2MB drives, which will replace my one 80GB 7200.7 8MB drive. Since the MSI K7D Master has 64-bit PCI slots I thought it would be best to move the HDDs over to that bus.

Apparently these things are not cheap... Fricken $400 for a card, no thanks. I'll get a cheapy 32-bit.
 
Its so expesive because you are looking at an 8 port card.. Makes little sense for the 2 drives you want to raid.

For 250 you can get This which is the same thing minus 4 ports.

If your bord supports 32bit 66mhz pci, you coudl also go with somethign like
This for 120
 
The $120 card is SATA, and for $250 I would rather just get an Iwill DH800 when they come out in the USA.
