6.5 gig Prosser For Sale

Sounds like a profoundly deaf person, I'm embarrassed to say. A lot of them have atrocious grammar and spelling abilities (or lack of). A lot of them are also very ignorant of anything new, whether it's computers or clothing style or whatever.
I actually think otherwise - probably some stupid Ghetto guy. I mean, Prosser? Probably how a beaten down black would've said things like "Amberlamps"

Ugg your making the funny thoughts in my head seem evil if that is the case I rather picture some ghetto idiot or a young kid posting that rather than someone that is handicapped. :(
Handicapped or not - Deafness's not so much of a handicapped though.

If he is deaf, why did he give out his phone number? Wouldn't he have problems communicating over the phone?
LOL - I've got a number... You know it's not always a phone that you speak through that uses the phone number. There are TTY/TDD and VideoPhones. If this poster is actually a deaf person then it's highly likely that he has a videophone.

They use a TTY. It's basically a type-writer style telephone which allows the deaf person to type what they want to say and the other person to see it and vise-versa. If you are hearing and want to speak to a deaf person you can call a rely service and they will listen to what you have to say, type it to the deaf person, read and tell you what the deaf person is typing back.

+1 Informative post for the rest but dreadfully outdated. Videophones are more of the norms these days.

LMAO. Good call! Probably not deaf!!!

I like how he says it has been his friend for a long time!
LOL... How many computers do we have and it've been like a friend? Damn, I spend more time with a computer than I do with a person or so.

I'm deaf myself. Hence the "I'm embarrassed to say" comment.
I'm deaf too. Why are you embarrassed? You're clearly no klutz here. But like I said in other posts earlier somewhere in a different thread - Deaf usually = retardation cause of massive shitty English development.

Dude.

Now I'm gonna feel bad...what if he is and I just clowned him in front of thousands and thousands of people.

shit.

THANKS AZHAR!!! Now I have guilt!

;)
Don't feel guilty, I know I don't :D

Someone owes me a dollar. :D This is a sweet deal, it can even handle the 100 gig modem from what he says.

Holy shit, Lake Michigan, and I thought the seller was in Alabama.
Hmm looks like his grammar improved somewhat, but doesn't know shit about PCs.
Gaming must be solitaire, chest, or what ever. lol

I asked him some questions too and this is what I got for a reply:

"The hard drive i forgot the specs on the hard drive but i can tell you that it has two 150 MB memory sticks. Not sure about the Cpu i had a buddy put it together for me. But it handels very good with internet and games so. But if you would like to come out and look at it thats good to"

No, I didn't cut off his reply, that is how he ended the email.
I asked about the CPU, memory, hard drive, and Operating System.

ROFLMAO

Yep, that was the first thing that caught my eye as well...it's more interesting to look at folks' browser layouts usually than the thing they were trying to capture. And damned if this one didn't just become funnier than the thread's original direction... :D

I know. Right after I posted I saw it. "Don't forget the pr0n. D'oh!"

Rep for having the balls to leave it there. FOCL

Is a porn video really worthy of going on the bookmark bar? Seriously.

Nope. Never. If it's worthy of re-viewing...then it's worthy of downloading...FFS X...get with it man. rofl

Actually, it's a pretty good computer.

All it needs is this video card and it's complete.

LMFAO. There are so many things that are LOL about this parody.

It shouldn't work... but it does.
Curiously high-bandwidth LMNOPRAM
We put it in a steel cage octagon... while none of the cards actually moved and attacked each other... if they did the Bitchin'Fast3D^2000 would kick their asses.
BitchinFast3D^2000 supports neither OpenGL nor D3D, nor does it fit in any case known to man.

I'm in training to be a Jesuit school teacher ;-)

You guys are just fucking mean....this thing has been his friend for a long time.

I frequently get compliments from hearing people saying "wow, you speak very well" (for a deaf guy), and it's getting old. Yeah ok, so I don't subscribe to the BS that is ASL.

Here's an article written by a deaf guy telling everyone what he thinks of anyone who criticizes his (and his deaf community's) grammar and sentence structure - http://memphisdeafcommunity.org/deaf_bad_grammar.htm

Yeah it's that bad. It's a fucking tragic they can't see what they're doing to themselves. I see it as "we reserve the right to portray ourselves as retarded people".

Was the article that you linked really written by a deaf individual? All outward signs point to that being the case, but I'm genuinely surprised. The grammar in that article was so bad, I had a hard time following along with the main idea and the train of thought. I have to agree with your "we reserve the right" PoV.

Bet his 6.5 gig prosser can play multiple "first lesbian fuck"s at the same time.

Unlike everything that isn't found in the Front Page section, my screenshot is set in stone. I got over it in the first five minutes after I posted it, you should too.

They speak like that because teachers for the deaf encourages ASL as their spoken and written language instead of proper English. ASL stands for American Sign Language. There's another version of sign language called English Sign Language which is verbatim-style sign language. Everything is word for word. In ASL, everything is spoken in shorthand and slang to speed up their signing. They generally leave out words they deem irrelevant to their conversations. For example, instead of signing "my name is Azhar" they would sign "name Azhar" and it becomes their spoken and written sentence as well.

There have been several attempts to ban ASL in public schools because of what it's doing to their English skills, but the ban has never been successful.

A profoundly deaf person with a cell phone? I'm in for "retard!" ;)

Holy shit. This is a tragedy, they're burying themselves with these sort of thoughts.

Yeah, I use ASL as my main mean of communication provided that there are audience whom understand ASL and I write in English after all.

I don't care if you learn to speak French, as long you can write English - I'm good to go here. Same thing applies towards ASL/English. Regarding this subject, I don't frequently care anyways as long English is being taught in the manner of "Written Language" to these who use ASL as their main mean of communicating with others.

Hah. I agree with Azhar and Jon855... I know many deaf people with horrible writing skills because of how they interpret the language as a whole. To them: ASL english is directly translatable to written English.

I have to agree with Azhar that it's tragic. When I read that article, my eyes just bled away at the sheer horribleness, and I was reminded of my high school days. :(

I have absolutely no idea how I managed to develop my writing skills like this despite growing up in the same environment as my deaf buddies.

Damn here I spend 200 dollar on just 1090t alone and only 3.2 gig, how in the hell?!!?!

as others have said i see ads like this on craigslist all the time. its funny what some people call a "gaming machine". alot of people also simply wont tell you the processor speed of the machine they are selling. they said i dont know so do ask then list the price of the machine at say 200.00 dollars lol.

Can I ask a really stupid question here?

Why are we arguing over the fact this guy is deaf? Aren't there deaf people who try and bullshit others too?

I don't even care he spelled words wrong.....but when you try and tell me you have a 6.5ghz processor....and a 10ghz modem....I can smell the bullshit no matter how bad the language use is.

In fact, I could give a damn that he's deaf.....he's a lamer who is trying to con people who know nothing about computers into buying his totally lame machine....and he's doing it in a manner that is so over the top it's actually funny.

So can the PC crowd quit making excuses for the guy? You wouldn't be doing this if he was trying to scam your grandma out of her life savings would you?

but when you try and tell me you have a 6.5ghz processor....

First time I saw the listing my first impression was that it was an old machine... A P3-650Mhz...

he's a lamer who is trying to con people who know nothing about computers into buying his totally lame machine....

A fool and their money are soon parted.

My parents forbade my older brother and I from using ASL. It also helped that I went to regular schools, lol.
