5600x incoming...is it worth it to upgrade my Asus x470 Strix?

I currently have an Asus x470 rog strix f running a 3800x. Would it be worth it to upgrade this to a newer board for the 5600x? If so which board? Max budget around $175. Thanks!

5600x is stronger than the 3700x in a lot of things but, the extra 2 cores/4 threads will help the the 3700x in others. Look around for benchmarks. The 5600x is $300 US if you can find one. A MSI mag b550 tomahawk is roughly 175 your max. These are excellent boards. is not msi providing bios updates for the board in question ?

No reason to unless you need gen4 for nvme speed in particular.

I wouldn't upgrade. I'd just keep running the Strix board.
