is it worth buying this? its 169.99 @ frys its the green ssd not the black one

Depends on what you have now....I'd say hold off because I believe this doesn't support NVMe, the 960 is the one that does....

That being said if your just trying to move up from a 128gb SSD or mechanical then it's not a bad option.

It also depends on how your system's m.2 sockets are configured. Some m.2 sockets do not support SATA m.2 devices at all; they support only PCIe m.2 devices. On those systems, you need the 960 series and not the 860 series.
