It hasn't crunched in quite a while, but I don't know any reason why it wouldn't.

4X Opteron 6172 (2.1Ghz, 12 core)

Tyan S8812 motherboard

16x1GB DDR3

Motherboard benching tray from Spotswood

4X Noctua CPU coolers (quiet)

32GB SSD

Basically, this will have everything you need minus a PSU. You pay shipping plus $50 to motivate me to get it out of my basement.

Hello, is this still available? Do you have expectations for it's use? ex. folding only
Or would you be OK if I turned it into a vm host and crunched on say 50% of it?

I want to be honest with my intentions and not take advantage of anyone.

I appreciate that. Have you done any folding/crunching in the past? Do you have a link to stats?

Thanks!

I can get the other accounts. I had stopped for some time though (Skillz was doing a lot with it I think). Work recently started a folding team so I joined it with a my main gaming pc and 10core vm (used for WCG in the past).
Folding- https://stats.foldingathome.org/donor/Outlaw85

I'll edit the post when I get the other links. I did join the [H] team a while back when doing Milkyway (I think) and BOINC.

BOINC / Milkyway I'm not sure i posted it correctly- here is the summary page- https://boinc.netsoft-online.com/e1...ser.php?cpid=566a3e1f25e82f2e564d9854c444f63c

Going to bump this since it's the same rig.

Would anybody be interested in this setup? I still have it and it does work, it's just not getting any use anymore.
I did change it to 4x4gb sticks of ram as one of the og sticks failed I think. Also, I would have to see if I have a spare small drive if interested. That also went belly up and is now a coaster.

Awesome. Those cores could still crunch many a work unit. Hope it gets to a good home.

If you know anybody. Only thing now is I'm pretty sure shipping is going to be stupid. I want to say it was 40-50$ when I got it from you. I checked Fedex to Washington state yesterday, if it'll fit into one of their flat rate boxes under 50lbs, it's 35$ but if it's retail, it's 150$!!

What is the power draw running WCG projects?

I know it's only two years late but I can give you some preliminary numbers.
I just loaded ESXI 6.5 back onto it. Booting was ~350-415 W, idle ESXI (no workloads) was ~257

Also, finally got some RAM for it. Populated it with 32 x4GB dimms
