5 instances of svchost.exe running

I currently have 6 instances running. As long as they are all spelled svchost.exe, your fine.

Those are generic service host processes.
You would need a service/process explorer to drill down and see who/what has launched or owns the process.
The are few free apps from Sysinternals that do this.

start>run>cmd> tasklist /svc

wil lshow you what each is controlling
