4870x2 High Pitch Noise

Dave, Get yourself the new Asus Tri-Cool 4870x2. It keeps the cards at 60c under load, with half the noise.

Try enabling vsync, it worked for my son's gtx 260. Instead of hundreds of fps, it does less work to maintain 60 fps? Works for WoW anyway.

Vsync issue has already been discussed in this thread and it is not the Vsync.

I just received my Asus 4870x2 with the new tri-fan design. It cools like a beast, doesn't hit more then 60c with half the noise of a normal 4870x2.

THE BUZZING NOISES IS GONE! No more hissing/electronic noise.

Nice one mate, im pleased for ya'.

I've just RMA'd my Sapphire 4870x2, im in two minds as to what to get next.

I'm tempted to just abandon the 4870x2's and look elsewhere, i know its illogical, but when you've had two go bad, you cant help but form a bad impression of them....

Thoughts?
