4870 x2 and Gateway XHD300 Scale? or no Scale?

Hi,
Just bought a New card. I went from a HD 2900XT to a 4870 x2. I have a Gateway XHD3000 30" Monitor. The GW monitor has a great scaling chip in it. So here's my question. Should I run 2560x1600 on high settings and no AA with a "barely acceptable" Frame rate or run the res down lower and go Very high and let the panel do it's "normal" scaling?

just run everything @ the normal 2560x1600

if you have to scale down, use the in game scaler as you will experience mouse lag w/ the xhd's scaler.

Yeah, that's what I was referring to, Turn down the res in the game and let the Panel do it's 2560x1600 thing.

This is why I got rid of my xhd3000 and got a 37" 1080p hdtv lcd. The mouse lag was unbearable and the 2560x1600 is an insane resolution to game at (good luck with crysis).
