4870 1gb and insanely bad GRID Performance?

Hey,

I'm haivng some trouble with the latest 8.10 hotfix drivers and GRID.

My card is supposed to tear right into this game no problem. However, the game's framerate plummets to about 1 frame per second (so bad that menu navigation is near impossible) if I try to enable any form of anti-aliasing... regardless of whether I do it through the menus or through the Catalyst Control Centre.

The game is set to run at 1920*1200 on ultra, with motion blur disabled.

Check what AA method your using, Edge detect at the res is pretty hard, since it uses a ton of shader power instead of the extra mb ur 1gb has.

I've tried every method, including using "application settings" and selecting AA options from in-game.

I find this odd, since most other benchmarks show that the game runs exceptionally well, even with 8xAA

It was my understanding that the FPS dips were a RAM constraint (512MB model only) - this is somewhat disturbing to hear about.
