Well I just jumped on a 21.5" monitor with a resolution of 1920X1080. Right now im running a XFX 4850 1GB on a 19" 1440x900, Everything is working fine.

But now, im wondering if, im going to have to upgrade my card to keep up with the resolution change?

Time for a 5770?

5770 is a pointless upgrade from a 4850. the only worthwhile upgrade is a 5850

or a cheap 4890 would serve you well. But for now lets see how nvidia's gonna crash the market with there new card :p

What games?
I just upgraded from my 512mb 4850 because my friend gave me his 4890 for free.
I didn't notice any difference after upgrading. The only graphically intense game i play is CODMW2 at 1920x1080 all maxed settings 2x/2x.
I guess it doesn't slow down in smoke anymore, but that never really bothered me because people rarely smoke in MP games.

I vote stick with the 4850 for at least a month. Never buy anything less than a 5850 though.

mainly playing, Saints row 2 (Already got some stutter due to horrible port) COD MW2, Farcry2, Stalker, Fallout 3, and Dirt 2, and picking up Bioshock 2 prolly today

Guess Ill hang on to it for another 2 weeks and snatch up a 5850.
