Need to replace end of life layer 2 switches, and currently need about 30 gigabit ports + 8 gigabit PoE ports.

Looking for a reasonably priced 48 port switch with at least 8 PoE ports... the other option is I just use 2 switches, but I'd rather just do this with 1 (But 48 port PoE switches are pricey!)

Any suggestions?

Thank you

you won't find one like that

maybe a 48 with 24 poe ports...

what's your budget?

What about using a stackable switch and get one variant that has POE

Juniper's EX3200 and EX4200 non-POE versions do include 8 PoE ports.

The Cisco SMB SG200 50-port gigabit POE has only POE on the left half of the ports...

Considering it coughed up its config before that client got their own full-time IT guy so I stopped having to deal with it I would suggest to avoid it though.

Everyone recommending layer 3 when I said layer 2 :)

Thanks for the info though guys. Budget is <$1k.

2 switches seem like the best choice. I'd go with a 48port POE but honestly they only need 6 POE and we don't see the need for more growing over the next few years.
