Anyone know of a 40-43" 4K monitor that doesn't cost and arm and a leg? I keep seeing Samsung 40" 4K TVs at only $299, and I'm seriously considering switching, but I'd rather have an actual monitor so I can get DisplayPort inputs instead of HDMI. I would think computer monitors would be cheaper to manufacture at the same size, considering HDMI ports have royalties associated with them, and TVs have to include a tuner and audio systems, where monitors don't. So, why are the only 40" 4k monitors I find in the $700-800 range? If anyone has a contact in the TV/monitor manufacturing realm, maybe you can give them a little hint.
