The 3G ram in my sig, consisting of two 1G sticks and two 512mb sticks totaling 3G, seems to have died at once.

First problem occured when my Vista wouldn't boot, displaying a message that a file is missing, and a "status: cx00000001" at the bottom, I changed every component to finally narrow it down to the memory, I then ran memtest86 for each single stick and guess what, every stick was faulty in the same manner which freezed memtest at the beginning.

I now keep thinking how this could have happened, could the motherboard have killed them at the same time?? or did one stick get bad and infect other 3??? or the X38 chipset didn't like those cheap kingston DDR2 667??? whatever the logic its the weirdest scenario I ever seen!

I am obviously going to get some new sticks but I like to see if anyone has a clue about this.
