3rd party warranty?

i'm looking at buying an asus zenbook and was wondering if buying a squaretrade extended warranty is worth the 180 bucks for 3 years.

i usually don't buy extended warranties, and i haven't had any (major problems) with my current asus g73. but i didn't know with smaller laptops and hardware if there is more likelihood for damage.

any thoughts?
 
no clue, that's why i'm asking. isn't it a first gen product? it doesn't seem like a great deal, just though i'd ask.
 
Do you have a habit of dropping your laptops? Are you rough on equipment?
 
I'm not super gentle, buti don't throw my stuff around either. I'll have a sachel bag for carrying the thing around in, but it will only from home to work. I'm thinking I'm gonna pass, just wanted to know what peoples general thoughts are
 
As long as you have a good secure means of transport, it should be fine. Don't stuff it into a bookbag with 70 lbs of books, for example.
