3rd Gen I5 Laptop $500 ** Warm?

Basic laptop, but it has USB3, its new (not refurb), decent styling, Intel 4000 graphics, 2.5 / 3.1 turbo, Asus brand, HDMI, etc.

Not bad for a basic laptop considering 3rd gen i5. Anyways, I just picked one up shipped free (but I had to pay tax $35) and thought I'd share.

You can't find a good screen at that price point. You're probably looking at $800 for a decent 1080p laptop if you're buying it new.

I got an email this morning. Looks like this is 400 AR now. To bad its ASUS or else i might have tossed one on CC. Last ASUS laptop had lots of heat issues.

OP here,
I think he meant Tiger Direct....

F ME! I called and deleted my order for yesterday after I checked the price did indeed drop $100.

Went back on to place the order after about an hour AND NOW IT'S NOT THERE ANYMORE.
Crap! One hour? Seriously? Had I known that I would have just kept the order, (long sigh)

What sort of heat issues have you had? My K53E, which seems to be just the previous model to the one on sale, runs just happy in an un-air conditioned oven of a house.
