if a motherboard like a z77 which has dvi, hdmi, and vga out, would it support 3 displays with a 3770k?

From what I can find online, only Z77 boards that expressly state that they support 3 displays are able to support 3 displays. Only one port can be DVI/HDMI/VGA, another port must be DisplayPort, and another port must be eDP (some weird standard Apple uses for their internal laptop screen connections, which Intel is pushing on ultrabooks). Alternatively, the board must have DVI/HDMI/VGA and two Thunderbolt ports.
