I want to run an Athlon 64 Mobile (with a newark core :) ) on this ECS NF3 Motherboard.
Is this possible? I know how to mount the HSF and my FSB should let me reach at least 3GHz, but I can't tell if this mobo will support this chip at all or not. I dread getting the chip and having it not boot on me. Is there a database I can check?

Click "CPU Support" when on the motherboard page. As with most 754 boards, this one does not have support for the mobile line. You'll need a DFI or perhaps a Tforce most likely if you want to use that chip.

Yes, well if I have the chip on the way then is there a chance in hell that it will work on this motherboard?

It should work just fine but it may be iffy since it's a Newark core processor. If it was a clawhammer I'd say it would work 100% sure.

If you have access to a normal socket 754 CPU I would install it and flash the latest BIOS on the board before trying to run the Newark.

I like it since it is a newark. i was hoping for a good OC.

Also, my mobo hasn't had a new bios out in about a year :(
