35w vs 45w HS/F for my laptop.

That's what I thought, I got some high temps(185 F) running prime95 in a 100ish F room.

Might have to check again when the room is cooler.

Remember that laptops run always kinda high temp.. And a 38C Room temp its not the better enviroment to test the temperatures on a laptop or pc... I guess for a 38C room temp, 85C not seems too crazy... Also what TIM you used...?.. Yo also can try with a higher RPM fan..

Looks like the thermal pads that I put on the VRs were to thick and prevent the HS from contacting the CPU all the way. Tamps are now in the 150s F instead of 190s running Prime95. :)

Thats a much better increase on cooling performance.. Glad to know its running fine now...
