With my 32" 1440p I already find my head moving around a lot more, and I tend to move windows and stuff to the center when I'm working on them. This indicates to me maybe we're reaching the max of what size should be directly on a desktop in front of us without causing fatigue.
Depends, this monitor has a lot of purposes and benefits. For one it's a bad ass monitor for movie watching, if not the best, second would be the ability to have two applications opened side by side at a 4:3 ratio drastically improving working conditions and removing the need for a second monitor.
I would buy this in a heart beat if it weren't so expensive.
Are there any places left in the Tampa, Florida area where I can try out a monitor of this size? Tiger Direct closed up last year, so I think all that's left is Best Buy.
34" seems pretty big for my desk but I'm most concerned about the width, because I usually prefer square-ish monitors over wide rectangles.
