stupid fedex, its been sitting at the sorting facility since sat! haha i called them about why they waiting till mon to delivery, get this even if u have 1 day shipping, fedex still charge extra for weekends so if the shipper doesnt pay extra it'll get delayed til weekday..i never knew fedex did that! if you folks ever shopped at amazon and paid for 1-2 day shipping even if it lands on a sun they still deliver to your house w/no extra charge!

Wait what? They tested for dead pixels for you?

Yes.

20 euros : Besonderheiten - Der Artikel beinhaltet den Test eines TFTs auf Pixelfehler

=> Special features - The article includes the test of a TFT pixel defects

No specific review. I follow the 34" models since a while...
Some videos on the dells like :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x16L0e3vv6Y
http://www.56.com/u50/v_MTMwOTcyODE1.html

So after there is a choice to make ;-)

LG 34UC97 : 1000 euros. Could have been my choice. ( but certainly not the UM95 )
Samsung S34E790C : 1200 euros ( and not yet available here )
Dell U3415W : 1100 euros on the officiel Dell ( gor it for 800 euros )

ps: people above in this tread gave tips to buy it from the dell site ( for America ) with codes and it also comes around 8-900$ if I am right.

Spoke to Dell rep. For those in Aus/NZ expect the price to be around 1100NZD. At most they can offer a 15% percent discount on the current price.

What type of sales rep did you speak with to get offered the discount? Is it just a regular sales rep or is it through a workplace etc? (I live in Canada and I wonder if the same can be done here, the price is 1309 CAD right now)

I spoke to two, one through the chat system they have. I provided him with the two of the coupon codes mentioned in this thread and he offered me a 15% off coupon instead. I was keen to get the 20% + fast shipping so I asked around in a local NZ forum and someone referred me to a dell rep there. She said the same thing - 15% off. Not worth scrounging around for an extra 5% off so I'm just going to order through her.

I'm positive that if you just chatted to a dell rep through the Canada dell page they'd offer something very similar.

Do they offer that in the US? I'd totally pay more to ensure no pixel defects.

Dell has a zero dead-pixel warranty on Ultrasharp monitors, so that service seems like a waste of money even if it could potentially save you some hassle/time on an RMA.

Don't worry if your monitor says it hasn't shipped on the site, it doesn't appear to be accurate. Even though mine says "In-Production," when I called CS they said it had already shipped and provided me a tracking number.

I thought that it was a zero stuck pixel warranty. When I checked up to five dead or off pixels was considered acceptable.

Hmmmm, has their policy changed? I believe it used to be that on Professional series monitors you were allowed dead pixels as long as they weren't stuck on, but on the Ultrasharps it was no dead pixels period. Maybe it's changed since I last reviewed the policy.

Anyone else having theirs delivered today? Between this and the national championship game tonight (I'm a Buckeye), this is the longest day ever in the office.

Order status updated to shipped. I've got 3-5 business day to wait. Unfortunately the tracking number is resulting in some delivered item back from February 2014.

Hey guys. I'm in Australia and I received my Dell 34" last week. I switched from a surround setup (3 x 120Hz 1920x1080) to this and I love it. Took about a day to get used to 60Hz gaming again, but the colours pop, the aspect ratio is PERFECT and it's overall very immersive. No more bezels.

I took a couple of pics and popped them on OCAU, here they are:

I got the screen for $1067 AUD delivered.

Enjoy!

how is your BLB?

please start posting pics of BLB

Pictures of this are not what you see with the eye. Find a perfect IPS monitor anywhere that you are looking at and then snap a picture with your phone or high-end camera. The bleed will look horrendous...but again...this is not what your eyes see.

The camera sensors are FAR more sensitive to this light. What you see in these pictures people post is not how it looks in person at all. Doesn't mean there isn't any bleed, it's just nothing like the pics.

You are correct , I have a tiny bit of BLB on the top left of mine and went to take a picture and the entire monitor looked like the was bleeding. Taking pictures really won't help at all.

I'd keep it, unless they're in the center and distract you.

For reference, all 4 Asus Rog Swifts I owned had multiple dead and/or stuck pixels, and that's a "premium" panel.

I went through about 5 HP ZR30w's, another "premium" panel. Every single one of them had multiple dead and/or stuck pixels, including the one that I decided to keep.

Last 3 smart phones I owned, at least 1 dead pixel on all (albeit nearly impossible to see considering the density).

What I'm getting at is that a majority of high density screens will have pixel defects. Yes a majority, I guarantee that. Especially when we're talking nearly 5 million pixels.

No way should he keep that. Dell has a very good return/exchange policy so he shouldn't have to settle, especially for a $1,000+ display. I've come across some phone displays with a dead pixel before (iPhone 6 Plus & OnePlus One) and I had them exchanged immediately because there was no way I could keep a phone with a defect on the display. I have moved on to a LG G3 which had a perfect display.

Now as to PC displays, besides a dead pixel I knew about when I bought a used Dell 2007FP, all the rest of my panels including my Macbook Pro Retina have no dead pixels. That's why I'm wary of buying new monitors from NewEgg and such because they have such a horrible dead pixel policy.
