So... All these months later... There is NO solution to the infuriating problem with windows being moved around when this monitor is powered off/on, right? I use Actual Window Manager and it helps a lot, but this problem is still annoying as hell. Anyone?
Is a 2gb gpu going to be enough to reasonably game on this thing? (680 GTX but I'm also wondering about my laptop)

Enjoying the monitor with my 7950, but still trying to get use to. Going from three 24 to a 34 is a big change. The judgement is still out.
At one time I was able to find a driver to fix the 'Generic PnP Monitor' in Device Manager. But now I can no longer find the thread that had it posted. Does anyone have a fix for it? It's not a big deal or anything but just a small niggle I would to correct again.
Win 7 incase that's needed.
Lord, that's pretty OCD. I'd hate to be the one fly in your meth lab.
Yeah I know.
I can't help it now that I had it changed at one point I liked seeing LG 34UM95-P instead of Generic PnP Monitor.

Found it! Direct download of 34UM95 driver..

And here's the support page for that driver (KR), if needed..

I'm starting to like it more and more. The three screens afforded more screen area, but took up way too much space. The opposite for the um95. Playing games is something I am getting use to.Watch a widescreen movie that'll tip you over
User's guide for the U3415W is up.

IPS panel, HDMI 2.0 and MHL 2.0 connectors in addition to DisplayPort in, Mini-DisplayPort in and DisplayPort out. No mention if the HDMI 2.0 port supports 4:4:4 or not.
Hey guys, I have a question about this display and I hope someone has a knowledgeable answer:
Would a mini displayport source directly connected to the Thunderbolt port work?
Obviously, I'm not expecting it to work like a pure Thunderbolt connection to support daisy-chaining or highspeed bus, but would it work as a display?
Anyone care to try?
Thanks!
Wish they would just release the damn thing already.
To confirm, on this dell, can you run 3440 x 1440 @ 60hz via the DP connection? On the LGs, curved and flat, you are required to run DP to get 3440 x 1440 (HDMI is limited to 50z on those monitors at 3440 x 1440)
From skimming the Dell manual, it says to get 3440 x 1440 @ 60hz you have to run it via HDMI 2.0. It doesn't mention if its DP is limited or not at native res. (unless I missed it).
I would THINK it would be fine over DP @ 60 hz, but wanted to ask if anyone else had an opinion.
^ And if I'm reading things correctly, you can run a single cable from DP1.2 to the first U3415W, and then another cable from that display to a 2nd U3415W, and have both at 3440x1440 @60Hz?
Where the heck is 48Hz & 24Hz support ???
Its 2015 and I want my 21:9 movies to be shown without judder !!!
Would a custom resolution work? I don't know if thats possible over display port.
No.
For some stupid reason all IPS monitors are locked to 60Hz except the chinese ones from ebay that can be overclocked.
The least Dell can do is give us true 50Hz & 48Hz modes which take less bandwidth than 60Hz.
Does anyone know how Newegg handles backlight bleeding for returns?
Might grab a 34UM94-P through them but am worried about bleed.
I just got a 2nd 34um95 on Newegg for $869.
