I just hooked up a system using two l5520's and I'm having a few issues. Thread 1 is only getting 50% usage, while threads 3, 9, and 12 are showing 0%
I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 and the latest version released for it. I'm also getting what seems to be low PPD, 14k, which I imagine is partially due to the lack of cpu usage.

Do yiu have HT on?
Do you have the system set to run at full?
Default is medium.

HT is on, and set to run at full.

I ended up setting up everything with v6 and Kraken, and it's working with 30k PPD or so, but I'd still like to know why v7 doesn't work proper.

This is something we've been working on for a while -- with V6 you can just...

Open new terminal and:
Code:
wget http://darkswarm.org/horde/fahdiag/fahdiag.sh
chmod +x fahdiag.sh
./fahdiag.sh

And paste results (here or pastebin.com) in order to verify/sanity-check your setup.

i just tried setting up 7.3.6 windows on a dual core and it won't use both cores. the screen says cpu:2, where i'm used to seeing smp:2. i know cpu is for one core, but the windows 7.3.6 didn't give me the option to install smp, cpu or gpu, it just did the install on its own

There have been reports (brilong) of 7.3 series misdetecting number of available CPUs.

I wouldn't be surprised if spleenbegone had run into this...
