2x 7970+280x

I am planning to add a 280x to my 2 7970s, is there any complications to this? Anything I need to know in terms of configurations/drivers/BIOS/etc?

From what Brent found out, you should be able to do it with no issues.

I run 2 280x's with a 7990 for quad

Several weeks in and never once a problem

No issues at all. They are literally just rebranded 7970's.

Depending on your models of 7970s you may even be able to flash then to 280x's and get the little extra performance out of them. I was able to flash my sapphire vapor x 7970 ghz to the 280x bios and get a little boost out of it. But you should be good with out the trouble.
