Ok heres the deal. I don't know what the hell is going on but im sure its something simple Im overlooking as I've setup 2k3 DC's a few times and never had this issue.
I go through the whole dcpromo and all is well. Yet the second I try touch the domin security policy or any policy it gives me its bs about not having apropriate rights. Im logged in as Admin (not just an account with admin priv) so I don't understand. I check the event log and it's telling me it can't find the gpo yet the path its looking at is \\domain\sysvol\etc\etc
Why the hell is it looking at the domain name rather than the host\machine name? Im a little stumped here. Any ideas from u win sysadmins?
