I have the LG 29EB93P as a side monitor and it works great. I just use it to hold notes or run music or youtube while I work on my main screen. I'm not really sure what's the difference between the different models but I basically just wanted an IPS display and mine does. It also has some crappy built in speakers which work fine in a pinch as a backup to a real audio system or headphones.

I think the difference from the different models likely have to do with screen resolution, screen technology and maybe stand or speakers.

Some are labeled IPS, others might be but aren't labeled as such. Some are labeled Freesync compatible with a 75hz refresh, others aren't. Just pick the combination of features and look that you want.

Why the hell they make so many is horrible from a consumer perspective, especially if they're so shitty with accurately describing the technical differences.
