2700u laptops (finally) coming

200mhz faster, and in that example it's a 512GB SSD vs 256GB. So should be more like $100 extra IMHO.

I want one but I'm cheap, needs to be $500 or below.

200mhz faster but has the vega 10 instead of vega 8 so yeah the 200 dollars is worth it when you include the larger SSD. for what you get these are prices pretty damn well considering i paid 800 dollars for my i5 7200u(2 core 4 thread) and 950mx with a 17.3in screen that only came with a 128gb sata m.2 drive.. i'd rather pay the extra 100 bucks for this amd system but waiting 5 months wasn't an option sadly.

I'm tempted, but I think I need just a little more gpu power. Nothing in the thin and light segment that realy provides that except the Surfacebook, and that pushes past $2k with 4c/8t and an nvidia dgpu, which is way too much for 20% more gpu power. Maybe when more of the intel/vega systems come out, but I think those will be awfully pricey as well.
